The dove was found by a citizen near the border between the 2 countries and brought it to the police. The dove had a ring on one of its legs, a Pakistani phone number and a Pakistani address written on its body with red ink (not great for a “secret spy”).

The Indian authorities believe the dove landed with a message, but they haven’t found it. At this point nobody is allowed to visit the dove who is held under custody by armed guards in a room with air conditioning.

I get it, if they were using that dove to send “bad” messages into another country then they sure have to do something about it but it certainly seems like a little too much. Have they tried calling the number? How about setting it free and finding out where it goes next? Maybe they’ll find more information about what’s going on.

I don’t know, I just think we’re all going a little crazier everyday!

But that’s not true, at least not for me. And I might talk about that in another post but that’s not really my point right now.

When I think about age and dating I always think about what is too young I never think about what would be too old. Would someone my age be too old? Is 40 too old? 45? I don’t know, I never really thought about that.

Whatever that age is I guess it’s just like with been too young, it depends more on how she is, what she does, how she handles responsibilities, what responsibilities she has, if she has kids, etc.

I don’t know… I’ll think about it for a while…

Now you have a real life, you have responsibilities, problems and a very different perception of life. Not anything will work for us (we think), and we don’t just look for “chemistry”, we look more and more at things like her background, job, education, income and future, etc.

I’m not saying this isn’t smart, but it somewhat feels “wrong” that as we get older usually all those other things tend to weigh more in a balance than “chemistry”. It’s also true that when we’re 18 we weigh physical “beauty” way more than we should, so maybe we’re just shifting “mistakes”

Anyway, I started thinking about this because as I get older I do realize that I start thinking about these things more than I did before. I’m not saying that’s what I base my decisions on but I do think about it more than I’d like to admit.

I can’t say if this is wrong or not, or how much I fool myself into thinking I’m not biased by all those other things when I think about a possible relationship…

A band got their instruments stolen and they decided to get creative and play with their iPhones. They’re called Atomic Tom, the song is called “Take Me Out” and it’s performed in the always interesting New York Subway.

By the way, I thought it was weird that the band had iPhones so I’m guessing they’re not really a street band but something more, or at least they have other jobs. I’m only saying this because I have an iPhone and I know they’re expensive to purchase, the monthly fee is expensive too and I remember how hard it was for me as a foreigner with a high credit score but low credit history to get AT&T to give me a contract!

I know, I know it’s stupid and exaggerated, as usual, but I’m sure you get my point. I was used to a 30-60 minute commute where I had enough time to listen to the news, a little radio and mostly sing while “relaxing” and clearing my head from “life” (sometimes you not only need to forget about work for a while ).

Anyway, my routine was news in the morning (a funny show with news, if possible) and crazy singing all the way back! It worked out great because I love music, I love to sing and I love playing the guitar and singing along. This way I could easily learn the lyrics to a new song I liked or even learn the tune so that when I got home I could play it in the guitar without feeling totally lost!

A few years before I used this same “technique” to learn and practice songs for the choir I was singing in. It worked out great and it make me enjoy choir even more because I could spend more time working on the songs instead of learning the songs.

I finally brought my guitar to the US and I’m starting to play again. I won’t say I have a great voice but I’ve been singing all of my life, in choirs, backing vocals in bands, at home with my guitar, in the shower (usually alone but…) and obviously in the car!

After not singing too often for a long time you can definitely tell that my voice was having some issues.

At first I thought it was “age-related” but after a month singing a little more often I’ve been able to recover most of my octaves (not that many) and no weird “out-of-tune” notes come out of nowhere in the middle of a song.

So I guess it’s practice, like everything in life. I know my voice won’t get better if I practice but at least the sound I can make with it will, so I’ll grab my guitar and keep playing until my landlord complains

I’ll start by saying that I haven’t read the study, just the story on the papers, so I don’t have much information.

A recent Canadian study has revealed that 70% of the most popular bottled water brands have pretty high levels of bacteria, higher than that of tap water.

According to the study these high levels of bacteria represent a possible threat to vulnerable population, which includes pregnant women, kids, people with weakened immune system and elder people. Summarizing, those who actually switch from tap to bottled water for their “health”!

Like I said at the beginning of the post I don’t really like water so this shouldn’t affect me too much. Except that most of the things I eat and drink have water in them… I just hope Coke is made with tap water

But this number is usually not “new”. It’s new for us but that number existed before and I guess you could say it has “a past”.

The first time I started thinking about this was after I moved to the US and I got my first cell phone. I started receiving weird calls for a girl called “Melissa”.

At first it was kind of “fun” trying to figure out who might have had this number before, but after a while I started realizing that most of the callers sounded pretty weird. It wasn’t until I received a couple of “threat calls” that I started thinking it wasn’t funny and considered whether or not I should be concerned.

The first call was pretty scary as the first thing they said after I picked up the phone was: “I know where you are, I know where you live, so if I were you I’d watch my back!”. After asking “what?” a couple of times the guy finally said, “is this Melissa?”, to which I said no and he hang up.

I decided that it was too psycho to think they would track down my phone thinking I was Melissa so I gave it a rest. I’m just using her old number so I don’t want to know what’s happening to the person who’s living at her old place, if she also moved!

Anyway, I remembered all this because I came into a weird story on the paper the other day about a “deadly number” in Bulgari. The number is 888.888.888.

according to the story the last 3 owners of this number have died in “strange” circumstances.

The first one died of cancer in 2001 when he was only 48 years old. He worked for a cell phone company, Mobitel, and there were rumors about competitors poisoning him with radioactive material.

The second one died in 2003 shot by a hitman when he was only 31 years old. The owner was a mafia member who was shot while supervising his narco networks in Holland.

The third one died in 2005  in a shooting. He was a businessman who was shot to death as he was leaving an Indian restaurant in Sofia, Bulgari.

After reading this, my story with my number doesn’t sound that bad, but I really didn’t enjoy it for a while!

But now I have some co-workers from my previous company staying around here for a few months and out of the blue they call me and say they’re on their way to my house!

We meet almost everyday because I feel bad for them being alone (it started out being just 1 and now they’re 2), to show them their way around and because I know how hard it is to live in a hotel (I’ve done it for large and continuous periods… large… and continuous). Also, because I didn’t want to be alone all day long and it’s great to have people to do things with, visiting museums, walking around the city, going out, dinning, or just hanging around at home.

God I miss this! These guys are leaving in a couple of weeks and then I’ll miss hanging out with them.

I started writing this post to complain about these friends giving me barely enough time to clean the house before they arrived and it turned out completely different.

The first thing that shocks us is, an 81-year-old man climbing up a tree?

But believe it or not that’s not the shocking part of the story. The shocking part of the story is after he fell he became “Addicted to Sex”.

After the accident. His son had to take control over his money because, just in the following months after the accident, he had spent over $4,000 in whores. And, obviously, he can’t control it! It’s all because he fell!

But that’s not the first time I read something similar. A few months ago I read about a younger girl in England that had an accident while playing the Wii-fit and after that she became “A Nympho”.

She claims that after that accident every time she touches or feels anything that has any type of vibration in it, and that’s with her hands or any part of her body, she feels an orgasm! Wow! Talk about constant awkward situations right there!

Do yo see a pattern here? Is it just me or people are looking for more stupid excuses to have sex? Like you nee an excuse? And, it’s not like it helps them get laid in the first place so what’s the whole nonsense for?

I think I’ve said this before and I’m sure I’ll say it again… people have too much spare time on their hands! :S

For some reason it seems like men have always had a higher tendency for being unfaithful and promiscous. Some say it’s a physical and hormonal thing, some say it’s a lower sense of responsibility, or who knows, maybe it’s because women have been much better and smarter at keepin their secrets!

Or maybe, it’s because in this weird and crazy world of ours it’s always been much worse for women to engage in any of these behaviors than for men. Actually, many times it’s even a sign of status for a man to be promiscous or to have a lover!

I’m a very loyal partner (when I actually have one) and not a big “one night stander” (maybe because I ain’t getting any and as time goes by the more I know “my next time” will be humiliating :S). I have nothing against sex, but for me sex wihout feelings is not as good, and I don’t really need it (by feelings I don’t mean love, it can be a friend who you appreciate and care for, someone you can feel confident with and whith whom you can open yourself).

But one thing is having different partners and another thing is being unfaithful. Everyone makes mistakes, but once, not twenty times!

But if you’re one of these people, today you’re in luck! You can join one of the most prestigious cults in mosern society and check into a Sex-Rehab clinic! Now you’re not a jerk, you “have a problem” and are “mature” enough to seek help and “take a step into solving it”… and you do this because “you care for your partner”!

Unbelievable! You get to insult your “loved ones” a little more and then somehow they become the jerks, the unreasonable ones, the ones who don’t care for “your love” or the family becase they can’t forgive a series o mistakes that were obviously “not your fault”, but caused by an uncontrollable “disease” that you’re “doing everything you can to fight back”.

I’m not sure if I should laugh, cry, or join one of those Sex-Rehab clinics and see if at least I get some action
